Our Innovation

Simple disposable patented device for infertility treatment

Advantages

  • The device can be operated through a standard trocar during ovarian laparoscopy surgery, and achieves its fertility-enhancing-activity via simple mechanical manipulation

The Opportunity

One out of every eight couples are affected by infertility. According to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the inability to have a child affects around 6.7 million women in the U.S, which accounts for around 11.0% of the reproductive population. Moreover, 25% of the couples have more than one factors leading to infertility. As people live longer, and more women decide to develop a career before raising children, the clinical need and market opportunity of alternative methods to increase fertility in women is expected to grow significantly in the next few years.

Development Stage

  • Ureteral indicator- Proof of concept study in mice model and Proof of concept study in porcine model in a real OR- set-up with a benchmarked imaging system.
  • Rectal tumor indicator- Proof of concept study in mice model in vivo.
