The Need

  • Histone modifications portray the epigenetic landscape of the genome.
  • Currently, a western blot is required to determine the state of each histone modification which is extremely time and resource consuming

  • Significant improvement in signal to noise ration due to a unique protocol 
  • The Antibody Microarray will monitor the levels of all histone modifications simultaneously. Results are expected within 2-3 hours.
  • The method is useful for any tissue or cell type in any biological procedure, for diagnosis, prognosis and drug screening.
  • The platform enables fast and reliable screening for epigenetic effects of existing and novel drugs.

A Proof of Concept:

  • Cy3-labelled histones were incubated on an Ab array slide.
  • Antibody-Antigen binding is clearly observed versus the controls.

  • A dramatic simplification of the bench work that should replace or amend any other existing methods of histone modification analysis.
  • Efficient time consuming research, management of laboratories working power and funds.
  • Personalized medicine – the product will allow researchers and clinicians to analyze cell tissues for modified histones making the method a potentially useful tool for prognosis of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
