Application
Israel is the country with multiple historical sites related to the medical history. Most are not included in organized tours, and there are no specific tours for those interested in the history of medicine – for example, medical personnel and students.
Our Innovation
Our group is developing novel concepts for visualizing history. Prof. Kozma has developed self-guided historical tours describing the urban medical history in Jerusalem, Haifa and Nazareth. The content is research-based and rich in its reference to multiple layers of medical history, from the mid-nineteenth century to the present, and covers the multiple populations inhabiting the region.
The group has developed stories, short texts, video-clips, pictures, and uses primary sources and riddles to bring the tours alive.
Opportunity
The content can be utilized in tourism and educational products.
